: Quick Weekend Wrapup
Saw Dark Knight on Friday at the IMAX midnight show. A good friend of mine who is a huge Joker fan bought tickets way in advance and he took me along. I liked the movie but was absolutely stunned by Heath's performance of the Joker. He definitely made the film and even Batman's scenes kind of paled in comparison.
Saturday I watched a lot of the E3 footage I recorded on my Tivo. I was a little disappointed that I had already heard of most of the games that were announced however it was very cool seeing good portions of the actual gameplay and knowing that a lot of the games are close to release and not 5 years down the line or something.
I am most looking forward to Mirror's Edge.
It looks like I'll doing most of my gaming on 360 since PS3 didn't offer much in terms of exclusive games (the whole Final Fantasy XIII coming to 360 was a HUGE shocker). Still nothing on the Wii I'm interested in aside from flagship Nintendo titles.
Also went to a family BBQ in celebration of my niece's third birthday.
Sunday went to watch Hellboy 2 with Berry and co. Unfortunately Hellboy was sold out at the theater where we could have had free admission but we had a fun lunch and watched Hellboy at another theater. I'm sure a lot of fanboys would probably kill me for saying so but I actually enjoyed Hellboy 2 just a wee bit more than Dark Knight. :P
Overall a great weekend filled with superheroes and friends.
