Ipod vs. Xbox 360
So I rented Burnout Paradise the other day. The game is great but the soundtrack is not so great. (Avril Lavigne? Really?) So I plugged in my Ipod so I can create my own soundtrack and for some reason the 360 no longer recognizes it.
After scouring the nets and making angry calls to both Apple and Microsoft I've found out that the problem is that at some point during one of Apple's latest firmware updates it decided to stop working on the 360.
It seems this has been an open issue for quite some time and not surprisingly neither Apple nor Microsoft care to address it and I don't know if it's a case of Microsoft getting off their lazy asses to update the 360 music player (I'm sure they'd rather I go buy a Zune) or if Apple are just being jerks and don't want me to hear my Ipod on a Microsoft product (As if they care about one of their devices being compatible with anything Microsoft).
I've even tried reverting my Ipod firmware to and older version but it's practically impossible and I also fear the possibility of having to rebuild my entire music library.
I loved being able to plug my Ipod to my 360 and blasting my music on my entertainment center speakers but now I have to settle for my cheap-o PC speakers.
Damn you Steve Jobs and Bill Gates! Daaaaaamn yooooooou!
